Ruggish was born at the end of 2024 in a small home in Western Sydney – just me, a single owner with two kids under 3. With most of my time spent at home with the little ones, I was always looking for ways to refresh the space and also needed a creative outlet. That’s when I decided to dive into rugs.

I wanted something light, soft to the touch, with minimal shedding – and designs that brought back my own nostalgic childhood memories, which I now get to share with my kids. And so, Ruggish came to life.

The name? It’s actually a nod to a classic – inspired by the 90s rap track Thuggish Ruggish. I wanted that same vibe: bold, nostalgic, and a little personal.

At Ruggish, we create professionally made rugs and mats that bring your favorite designs into your space – whether it’s a pop-culture throwback, a custom piece just for you, or even your business logo for your shopfront. We use cashmere for that extra soft comfort in our rugs, and nylon for our mats to handle moisture – perfect for those rainy months.
